It is out of my comfort zone to pull back and not force something whether it’s a relationship, a piece of writing or a change in my thoughts. It seems my general inclination is to try to make something happen that alleviates my discomfort, so I am learning to be with what is and allow people and things to come to me of their own accord. Big stuff!
You don't force, but flow! Absolutely love that Martha and resonates too with my article today. I love how also learning to be with 'what is', as you say, is a strong form of stepping out your comfort zone too, as we lean into radical acceptance. Thanks for sharing
Thank you for sharing this, it deeply resonates with me. Lately, stepping out of my comfort zone has meant using my voice more boldly, even when it shakes. I’m shedding the version of me that stayed silent just to keep the peace and choosing instead to speak up for what feels true. This month, I’m leaning into that courage initiating honest conversations, showing up fully, and trusting that letting go of the old creates space for something more aligned. Sometimes growth isn’t loud it’s in the quiet choice to no longer shrink.
Thank you for reading resonating lovely Sae! 🌞 I love that speaking up for you is currently on the cards too. Cheers to using our voices more boldly and fearlessly! I'm proud of you and to hear how you're making intention space to not shrink yourself anymore.
I loved so many parts of this post, Grace. Resonating and nodding as I read. Especially speaking freely.
“The more I notice how I trust my inner truth, the more I am taking up space.”
As like you, I allow others to take space and talk, by letting myself to shrink. But not anymore. I allow myself to speak calmly and confidently while taking my space. So much power in it. So much light in it. And so much peace in it. 🤍🤍🤍
Aw dear Janki, so glad speaking your truth is something you are resurfacing and embracing too! It's refreshing, right? So much peace when we notice our worth and hence then take up space confidently because we deserve to! Go you, go us, cheers to shining 🌟
I love this post Grace. Clearing out the old clutter and making space for the new is so refreshing. It can be a bit of a tug with some things at times but they are always better off when someone takes them and puts them to use again. The thing get refreshed too.
I read something this morning that might help your friend btw. It said to view dating as a test to see if you are a match. We often go hoping the other person likes us. Then feel bad because they don’t want to see us again. Go to see if you like them. Let them see if they like you. If both boxes are ticked, move to the next date. If one or no boxes are ticked, move on to the next potential. Treat it like a fun game not an expectation ❤️
Refreshing on both sides indeed! Didn't think of it like that about the repurposing and finding a new space/suitable home for my items. Thanks for bringing that in.
Also thanks for sharing that pov about seeing dating as a game, but it can definitely be a tiresome game (one I've played many times), however how we treat it definitely welcomes in that energy, so thanks 🙏🏻

Ps. I see you're a fellow yoga teacher too, so your comment also makes more sense to me! Hehe
