What a journey! This will go a long way in helping others who have gone through the same.

Thanks for reading Miller! Do you relate with my experience being on Medium?

You're welcome. Yes I can. At some point I went offline on writing just to recharge myself. This is something that we writers experience.

Thanks for sharing. I've had 5 hospital emissions in the last 3 years and find it really hard because I'm forced medications that dull my creativity and authenticity. My family want me to be medicated and so do the Drs. Probably for the rest of my life.

Ah I am sorry to hear Ames... it can be hard, especially when your family just wants the best for you and think that is with medication... but as you know, it is a mix of every approach, not just medication. I also felt they dulled my creativity... have you found more peace with it?

This is so important to share! I have taken quite a few breaks over the last 6 years of sharing my writing online (including almost all of 2024 to grieve the loss of my mother and birth my son). Breaks are SO necessary in the writing journey!

I am SO glad you agree with taking breaks! Writing is a creative outlet, so when we take breaks, we are restoring our energy to come back stronger... I hope you are navigating your grief well now? lots of love

Love this!

As I am writing this comment, I am feeling a little overwhelmed with the upcoming holidays. (Mom passed away in 2018) And it is just me and my dad now, so either we will spend Christmas at home or with my half-brother and his family.

Keep up the good work!

Overwhelm is normal dear Grant. We must find rituals that balance ourselves out - what are yours? Mine are yoga, cuppa teas, walks in nature, reading, writing... Loss is hard to cope with at this time of year, but sending you love and strength. She is with you in your heart. Thanks btw!

My rituals outside of work are boxing, exercise, writing, reading, spending time with friends and family and playing with my pets. Thank you for the encouraging words!
